Industrial Wedding at The Glass Factory | Jacksonville, Florida | LGBTQ+
The Glass Factory in Jacksonville, Florida is an iconic wedding venue. I was thrilled to be capturing the wedding of Kait and Jen surrounded by all the urban industrial vibes. They booked me as their wedding photographer over a year ago, so it felt like ages! We shot Kait and Jen’s engagement in Hawaii last November. We had a blast exploring beautiful spots around Oahu and even found a locals beach! I knew even then that their wedding was going to be fun and impactful.
Let me just start off by saying, my favorite part about K + J’s wedding was their timeline! They put a lot of emphasis on being present during their celebration and gave ample breathing space to each section of their wedding day. They did not rush through morning preparations, and they did a first look with private vows, allotting over an hour to their personal portraits along with their first look. It was magical! I was able to truly capture their love and connection with zero stress about time.
The first-look-vows were heartfelt and emotional. Even though K + J had two photographers and a videographer in the room with them, I could tell they felt completely secluded and free to express their true feelings for each other. There is something so beautiful about a private moment together like this.
Needless to say, there was plenty of dancing time! And K + J + friends did not disappoint. I had a blast capturing everyone’s best moves on the dance floor. We did a bouquet toss with Jen’s tie that Kait stole sometime in the middle of dancing. See for yourself, it was even better than a bouquet. K + J planned a cake smash with votes from friends and family. Jen didn’t stand a chance!
