St Augustine Downtown Engagement at Ice Plant | Vintage Classic Vibes
Downtown Historic St Augustine is full of magical photo shoot locations. The city does not disappoint when it comes to selecting an aesthetically pleasing location for your engagement shoot. We have cobblestone streets, the Bayfront, the Lions Bridge, Flagler College, Lightner Museum, numerous tiny shops and delicious restaurants & bars. For Alyssa and Chris’s session, we started with a cheers at the Vintage, Industrial bar + farm-to-table restaurant on the outskirts of town, The Ice Plant. It went perfectly with their preferred vintage, classic, old money vibes.
Chris tried the old fashioned and Alyssa sipped her espresso martini. Both are amazing choices for cocktails there. Their drinks and food are seasonal and often rotated. I like to get the Slow Rush or the Bees Knees. I am a vodka, gin or tequila fan. All clear liquors for me please!
The Ice Plant Bar is upstairs but their distillery and shop is located directly downstairs and offers a variety of local liquor. I have purchased the gin and love it. I love all the little knickknacks you can find in there to gift to the picky family drinkers= for Christmas.
Speaking of Christmas, this engagement shoot took place in the second week of December during St Aug’s famous Nights of Lights - when the city is lit up every night by millions of tiny lights for a span of two months. It’s incredibly romantic and one of my favorite times for couples nighttime photo shoots.
Once you get the chance to scroll through the gallery below, check out this post to see Part 2 of this shoot after the sun went down. Alyssa changed her outfit and Chris put on his fancy bowtie.
My engagement package includes up to two outfits and two locations which is perfect when my couples want to mix it up with date night casual, full on casual or dressed up looks. The sky is the limit when it comes to shoot vibes because we can do anything from classy, vintage, boho, field, architecture, courthouse, street, fort, water, cobblestone, etc. I like to get the full scope of what you want to experience through your photos. We can even eat pizza on top of the garage roof (this really happened) or grab a pretzel/ice cream sandwiches for a quick bite and cute photos.
Once the photoshoot is over make sure you check out some local nightlife and dining options and enjoy your night out with your partner!
